Enroll your BT hires in Alpaca RBT bootcamp
Last updated: October 12, 2026
Alpaca Health sponsors Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training for candidates
it hires, run through Behavior Development Solutions (BDS) at
bds.com/rbt. You do not need to already be certified to get an offer, and you do not pay anything for the training itself.
The promises:
No certification required to get an offer. Once you hire a qualified BT, Alpaca sponsors their path to certification
No upfront cost to you. Alpaca covers the BDS training
A completion bonus for finishing on time. If your BT finishes training within 2 weeks of getting training access, they can earn a $100 completion bonus
Who this is for
The Bootcamp currently applies only when both of these are true:
If the hire was sourced through one of Alpaca’s own recruiting channels (not a
third-party staffing agency or referral outside Alpaca’s pipeline); andThe hire is for a state where Alpaca is active in: Colorado, Michigan, North Carolina, Hawaii, or Texas.
If either is not true, this program does not apply to your offer.
How it works
Extend an offer. You make an offer to qualified candidates (sourced through Alpaca) that don't yet hold an RBT certification
Email us the BT's name and email. Reach out to support@alpacahealth.io requesting access to the RBT training module, along with the BT's name and email. The training access will be sent to your BT's email, from BDS
Complete training within 2 weeks. The clock starts on the date the training
access is granted, not the date of your offer. Finishing inside that 2-week window unlocks the $100 completion bonus.
What it will not do
It will not pay the $100 bonus if training is completed after the 2-week
window. The bonus is tied specifically to finishing within 2 weeks of training
access being granted — there is no partial credit for finishing late.It will not cover training costs for candidates outside Alpaca’s own sourcing
channels or outside an active-hiring state. The sponsorship is scoped to who
Alpaca hired and where, not to RBT training in general.
Recover from common problems
What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
You haven’t received training access after accepting your offer | Access is granted by Alpaca’s recruiting team after your offer is finalized, not automatically at acceptance | Email support@alpacahealth.io with your name and the email address on file |
You’re not sure when your 2-week window started | The window starts the day BDS grants you training access, which may not match your offer or start date | Email support@alpacahealth.io with your name and email to confirm your access date |
You finished training late and don’t see the $100 bonus | The bonus requires completing training within 2 weeks of your training access date | Email support@alpacahealth.io with your name and email — late completions do not qualify |
You were hired through a staffing agency or outside the current active-hiring states | The program is currently limited to candidates sourced through Alpaca directly, in Colorado, Michigan, North Carolina, Hawaii, and Texas | Confirm with your recruiting contact whether this program applies to your offer |
