Complete your profile, certifications, and availability
Last updated: July 28, 2026
After you accept your invite, take a minute to fill out your profile so your clinic has your contact details, current credentials, and the times you're available to work. Everything below lives on your own profile page in Alpaca Health.
Open your profile
Your profile is where your personal info, certifications, and availability all live — organized into cards on a single page.
Look for My Profile in the sidebar (under the Account section) to open it. If you don't see that link, ask your clinic admin how to reach your profile, or have them help you update these details.
Your profile page is organized into tabs, including Overview, Documents, Client Assignments, and Pay Rates. Your personal info, certifications, and availability are all on the Overview tab.
Fill out your profile info
On the Overview tab, find the User Information card and select the edit (pencil) button to open the Edit User Information panel. From there you can update:
First Name and Last Name
Email — note the reminder that your email is what you use to log in, so changing it changes how you sign in
Phone Number
NPI Number (if you have one)
SSN, Highest Education Level, Home Address, and Gender, used for payroll and insurance billing
Time zone and Enable Notifications
Select Update to save. Your changes take effect right away.
If your organization uses Salsa for payroll, your Home Address may be read-only here — in that case you'll update it from the My Payroll page instead. Your role (RBT, BCBA, etc.) is set by your clinic admin, not editable by you.
Add your certifications and licenses
On the Overview tab, find the Certifications & Licenses card. This is where you record your credentials so your clinic can track them and their expiration dates.
Select Add on the Certifications & Licenses card. This opens the Add Credential panel.
Choose the Type — options include RBT, BCBA, BCBA-D, BCaBA, State LBA, CPR, First Aid, and NPI. Then choose the Kind — License or Certification.
Enter the Credential # (your license or certification number) and select the Issuing Authority.
Set the Issued and Effective dates, and the Expires date if it has one (optional).
Optionally add a Jurisdiction (for example, your state) and set the Status.
Select Create to save.
Each credential appears as its own row with its type, status (active, expired, or suspended), ID, and dates. To update or remove one later, use the edit (pencil) or delete (trash) button on that row.
Note that this card records the credential details (numbers and dates), not a copy of the document itself.
Uploading a copy of a certificate or license
To attach a scan or PDF of a credential, open the Documents tab on your profile and select Upload Document. You can categorize each file (for example, Licensure, Certification, CPR, Liability Insurance, or Resume). Alpaca accepts common file types (PDF, Word, images, and more) up to 50MB per file.
Set your availability
Your availability lives on your profile (not the scheduling calendar). Setting it tells schedulers when you can work.
On the Overview tab, find the Availability card and select Set Availability (or the edit button). This opens the Update Availability panel.
Turn on the days you're available (Monday through Sunday). For each day you enable, set a start time and end time.
Need more than one window in a day? Select Add Time Slot to add another. Time slots on the same day can't overlap.
If you can work any time, turn on Open Availability instead of setting individual days.
Select Update to save. You'll see a confirmation that your availability was updated.
If you don't set anything, you're treated as available at all times by default — so it's worth setting your real availability to help your team schedule you accurately.
