How to register:
Tax Account Number
New businesses can register online. Successful registration will generate your nine-digit Tax Account Number.
Per this TX FAQ resource, you cannot register for a TX UI account if you have not yet paid wages to persons working in Texas. You must wait until you pay wages to register.
How to locate these numbers if you’re already registered:
You can find your tax account number on any previously filed tax documents (Form C-3). If you have any questions, please contact the agency (800)628-5115 or via e-mail at tax.statussection@twc.state.tx.us or tax@twc.state.tx.us.
Your Unemployment Insurance Rate will be located on the yearly notice sent from the Texas Workforce Commission. You can also contact the agency directly via e-mail at taxexperience.rating@twc.state.tx.us.
